Utrecht 1642 ducat Fr-284
This specimen was lot 763 in Sincona Auction 103 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 900 CHF (about US$1,372 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NIEDERLANDE Utrecht, Provinz. Dukat 1642/1, Utrecht. Selten. Feilspur am Rand. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, ducat of 1642, Utrecht mint, 1642/1 overdate. Rare. NGC AU Details, Edge filing.)"
This subtype was struck 1587-1624, 1629-48. Later subtypes, with different mintmarks, include KM 7.2 (struck 1649-74), KM 7.3 (struck 1674-76) and KM 7.4 (struck 1679-1700). The SCWC does not mention this overdate but it's possible all the known specimens have it.
