This type was struck in 1924 at Poissy, France. Other dates, such as 1901, 1909 and 1936, were struck at Paris. Uruguayan coinage was sporadic in the early twentieth century and many issues are rare; this one is common. There are similar one and five centésimos (KM 20, KM 21).
