This date from Philadelphia is common in all grades tho less so than the enormous issues of World War Two. The Denver product is a famous rarity and the San Francisco issue is fairly common. The coins dated 1916 and some dated 1917 have a deeper design and are more dished than the balance of the series.
Recorded mintage: 22,180,080 plus 18,490,000 Barber dimes.
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, .072 troy oz ASW, 17.9 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Adolph Weinman.
