This specimen was lot 3778 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 3,000 CHF (about US$4,015 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "10 Dollars 1892, Carson City. Liberty head type. NGC AU58." This specimen is one of a type struck at the Carson City mint mint 1870-84, 1890-93. Issues are also recorded from New Orleans (1841-60, 1879-1906), San Francisco (1854-89, 1892-1907), Philadelphia (1839-1907) and Denver (1906-07). In 1866, the motto "In God We Trust" was added to the reverse. This date is scarce.
