This specimen was lot 2882 in Stephen Album sale 45 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "UGANDA: Republic, 5 shillings, 1972, East African Crowned Crane, 7-sided, one-year type, PCGS graded MS62, S. This scarce type was withdrawn from circulation with almost the entire mintage being melted."

Recorded mintage: 8,000,000.

Specification: copper-nickel, 30 mm diameter, plain edge.
