This specimen was lot 73612 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "UGANDA. 10 Cents, 1975. Kings Norton Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-67 Red Gold Shield. The seldom seen final year of issue for the type, this fully red Gem stands as one of just two graded at this level--the finest--in the PCGS population report. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This type was struck intermittently 1966-75 and no dates are rare.
