This specimen was lot 3231 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "TUSCANY: Leopold II, 1824-1859, BI 10 quattrini, 1854, a wonderful lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS64. The single finest graded example (Top Pop) at PCGS." In Tuscany, 40 quattrini = paolo; 10 paolo = 4 fiorini = francescone. This one was struck 1826-27, 1853-54. In the 1850's, Tuscany was ruled by a Hapsburg prince, Leopold II.
