This specimen was lot 30686 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Tuscany. 4 Fiorini, 1834. NGC EF Details--Surface Hairlines." This type is listed for 1833-41 and is four times the price of the subsequent francescone (Dav-160). Leopold, a junior Hapsburg prince, ruled Tuscany until it was incorporated into the united kingdom of Italy in 1859-60.
