Steve Album sale 55, lot 1937

This specimen was lot 1937 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Selim III, 1789-1807, AR 2 zolota (60 para), Islambul, AH1203 year 1, few traces of luster, XF, R, ex Kenneth A. Bovenkamp Collection. Rare denomination, stuck only during Selim's years 1, 2, 3, and a very [small] issue of year 9." This type was struck years 1, 2, 3 and 9. Another double zolota of year 1 (KM 477) weighed 26.4 g.

Specifications: 18.5-19.0 g, 0.465 fine silver, this specimen is 19.53 g.
