The first specimen was lot 698 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $386.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Selim III, 1789-1807, AR 5 para, Islambul, AH1203 year 1, third series, EF." The second specimen was lot 1817 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[2] noted, "TURKEY: Selim III, 1789-1807, AR 5 para, Islambul, AH1203 year 5 (1793), a superb lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS65. Part of a small group of 18 coins of this accessional date and regnal year purchased by Maj. Fred S. Pridmore in Cyprus in the 1960s." This type was struck years 1-19. Five para made one-eighth kuruş.
