The first specimen was lot 483 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $117.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Mahmud II, 1808-1839, AV ¼ zeri mahbub, Kostantiniiye, AH1223 year 5, PCGS graded AU53." This type was issued during years 1-5 of Mahmud's reign. It is hammered, as milled coinage was not introduced until 1839.
