This specimen was lot 71704 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY. 500 Lira, 1979. NGC PROOF-64+. A F.A.O. issue, featuring an Anatolian bride. A brilliant proof with reflective fields and frosty devices." This issue was accompanied by a stainless steel one lira (KM 926), 2½ lira (KM 927), five lira (KM 928), silver 150 lira (KM 929) and a gold 1000 lira (KM 932).
