Turkey 1979 500 lira KM-930

from the Stack's Bowers 2020 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71704

This specimen was lot 71704 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $528. The catalog description^[1] noted, "TURKEY. 500 Lira, 1979. NGC PROOF-64+. A F.A.O. issue, featuring an Anatolian bride. A brilliant proof with reflective fields and frosty devices." This issue was accompanied by a stainless steel one lira (KM 926), 2½ lira (KM 927), five lira (KM 928), silver 150 lira (KM 929) and a gold 1000 lira (KM 932).
