Turkey 1977 5 lira KM-911

This specimen was issued by Turkey as part of the F.A.O. series. Turkey issued an elaborate series of F.A.O. coins, including this gold issue from 1978. The obverse features stylized figures of a family while urging "Food and shelter for all." This issue was accompanied by a similar 2½ in stainless steel and fifty lira in silver. A regular issue five lira with Ataturk on horseback (KM 905) also exists.

Recorded mintage: 25,000.
