This specimen is the first coin issued by Turkey as part of the F.A.O. series. Turkey issued an elaborate series of F.A.O. coins, including this gold issue from 1978. The obverse features Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, driving Turkey's first tractor in the early 1920's.
