This specimen was lot 1644 in Jean Elsen sale 135 (Brussels, December 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"TUNISIA, Republic (1957-), AV 2 dinars, 1967. 10th anniversary of the Republic. Proof."
This rare issue was accompanied by gold five, ten, twenty and forty dinars. Habib Bourgiba helped obtain independence for Tunisia from France and survived as its ruler until overthrown in 1987.
