This specimen was lot 52631 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "TRANSYLVANIA. Ducat (Forint), 1621-KB. Kremnica Mint. Gabriel Bethlen. PCGS Genuine--Harshly Cleaned, EF Details. Despite the fairly harsh cleaning, this example retains solid detail and presents a vibrant yellow nature to the gold. A popular type owing to its Transylvanian origins." This type was struck for Gabriel Bethlen in 1620-22 at the Kremnica mint in Slovakia. Other ducats were struck for him at Nagybánya (Fr-367).
