Sincona sale 100, lot 1128

This specimen was lot 1128 in Sincona Auction 100 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 65,000 CHF (about US$97,968 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"UNGARN Siebenbürgen, Gabriel Bethlen, 1613-1629. 10 Dukaten 1621 KB, Kremnitz. (Rosette) GABRIEL - D.G.EL.HVNGARI(AE).DAL.CR - SCL.REX Geharnischtes Hüftbild nach rechts mit geschultertem Zepter. Rv. .TRANS.PRINCEPS.ET.SICVLOR.COM.1621. Gekrönter Schild mit dem quadrierten ungarisch-siebenbürgischen Wappen mit Bethlen'schen Mittelschild auf einer Volutenkartusche, unten zwischen K-B. Sehr selten. Gutes sehr schön. Graffito auf Revers. (principality of Transylvania, Gabriel Bethlen, 1613-29, ten ducats of 1621, Kremnitz mint. Obverse: armored half-length bust right with a scepter resting on the shoulder; reverse: crowned arms of Hungary and Transylvania with the escutcheon of Bethlen divide the mintmark. Very rare, Good Very Fine, Graffito on reverse.)"
