This specimen was lot 42155 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Danish India. Tranquebar. 10 Cash, 1838. Frederick VI. PCGS AU-55." The SCWC notes that ten cash was one-eighth of a fano or fanam and eight fano made a rupee. This type was struck 1816, 1822, 1838-39 and is scarce. The Danish sold out to the British in 1845.
