This specimen was lot 665 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "DANISH INDIA: TRANQUEBAR: Frederik VI, 1808-1839, AE 1 kas, 1819, superb full strike; rare denomination for Frederick VI, struck only in 1819, nearly XF, RR, ex Solar Collection." The Danish fort at Tranquebar was sold to the British in 1845. This is a rare one year type. The SCWC notes that ten cash was one-eighth of a fano or fanam and eight fano made a rupee.
