This specimen was lot 53481 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $5,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Tibet. Sho, Year 59 (1794). PCGS AU-53 Gold Shield. Variety with 28 dots. An attractive, boldly struck Sho with no distracting marks and blessed with a dark gray tone." This type was struck in the last years of Qian Long's reign, years 58-60.
