This specimen was lot 53487 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $6,000. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Tibet. Sho, Year 8 (1803). PCGS AU-53 Gold Shield. A decently struck coin on a slightly rippled flan with a few dark spots of toning toward the peripheries." This type is listed for years 8-9 (1803-04).
