This specimen was lot 1451 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $540. The catalog description[1] noted, "THAILAND: Rama V, 1868-1910, AR ¼ baht (salun g, RS127 (1908), a lovely example! PCGS graded MS65, ex Don Erickson Collection." This type was struck RS 120-127. Rama V is the potentate starring (some say mocked) in the musical "The King and I."
