This specimen was lot 1249 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "THAILAND: Rama V, 1868-1910, AR salung (1/4 baht), RS121 (1902), a superb lustrous mint state example! NGC graded MS65. Only three graded higher at NGC." This type was struck RS 120-127. The date is shown as "๑๒๑" below the arms on the reverse. One baht was four salung. Rama V is the potentate starring (some say mocked) in the musical "The King and I."
