Steve Album sale 55, lot 3052

This specimen was lot 3052 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND: Confederation, AR franc, 1944-B, a splendid lustrous example! PCGS graded MS67." This type was struck 1878-1967 in silver and is still in production today in copper-nickel form. Few dates after 1936 are scarce and this one is common.

Recorded mintage: 6,225,000 plus specimens; a common date.

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 23.2 mm diameter.
