This specimen was lot 8349 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. 10 Francs, 1915-B. Bern Mint. NGC MS-61. A well struck coin with satiny luster and just a few light scuffs." This Swiss ten francs conforms to the standard of the Latin Monetary Union, where twenty francs = 6.45 g, 0.900 fine gold. Switzerland continued to use this standard even after France, its originator, abandoned it after World War One. This type was struck 1911-16 and 1922; only the 1922 is common.
