This specimen was lot 1228 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN: Oscar I, 1844-1859, AE 1/6 skilling, 1844, a superb example, PCGS graded MS65 BN, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." By the reform of 1830, 32 skilling banco = one riksdaler. This type was struck 1844-55 and is common. Oscar's father, Carl Johann, died in March 1844; 1/6 skillings exist for 1844 for both kings. An 1844/35 overdate exists and is rare.
