This specimen was lot 34272 in Heritage sale 3106 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $2,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sweden: Carl XIV Johan gold Ducat 1828-CB MS64 NGC, Stockholm mint. With initials CB for mintmaster Christopher Borg. A scintillating Ducat, with a touch softly struck central areas possibly due to being produced with rusty and worn dies, nevertheless practically mint fresh and top-graded as such." This type was struck 1818-29 and is scarce, as are most Swedish ducats.

Recorded mintage: 5,510.

Specification: 3.5 g, 0.976 fine gold.
