Sweden 1815-OL 1/6 riksdaler
This specimen was lot 11130 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it sold for €3,660 (about US$). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/6 Riksdaler, 1815-OL. Stockholm Mint. Karl XIII. NGC EF-45. Nice and well-struck example of this rare date. From the L.E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale - 1922)." In 1814, Sweden obtained Norway from Denmark, and the title "king of Norway" was added to the coinage. This scarce type was struck 1815 and 1817 only. It was the only fractional silver coin issued in the last years of the ailing king Karl XIII.
