Sweden 1780-OL 1/3 riksdaler
This specimen was lot 11120 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it sold for €170.80 (about US$197). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/3 Riksdaler, 1780-OL. Stockholm Mint. Gustav III. NGC EF-40. Some iridescent toning on both sides. From the L.E. Bruun Collection." This denomination was introduced in 1776 to replace the two mark. It must have been a success, as it was struck in large numbers. This type of 1778-89 accompanied a 1/6 riksdaler (KM 524). Gustav III was assassinated in 1792.
