This specimen was lot 40789 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/4 Riksdaler, 1750-HM. NGC MS-63. Fredrik I (1720-51). RARE one year type with a mintage of only 465 pieces. Attractive toning, sharply struck." This coin with its trifling mintage is not even listed as rare in the SCWC, demonstrating how underrated the minors are compared to the well-studied riksdalers.
