This specimen was lot 50625 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/2 Daler Plate Money, 1712. Karl XII (1697-1718). Well stamped, though 3 of 4 stamps are incomplete. VERY FINE." The famous Swedish plate money was issued from 1644 to 1776 in denominations from half a daler to four dalers. The type is listed for 1710-15 and tho less common than later issues (see KM PM65), is not rare.
