Sweden 1707-LC riksdaler Dav-1713
The first specimen was lot 1689 in Ponterio sale 173 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $3,819. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Riksdaler, 1707-LC. PCGS Genuine--Cleaning, VF Details Secure Holder. Karl XII (1697-1718)." The second specimen was lot 2178 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €3,200 (about US$4,313 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,
"SCHWEDEN, KÖNIGREICH, Karl XII. 1697-1718. Riksdaler 1707, Stockholm. RR Kl. Randfehler, sehr schön. (kingdom of Sweden, Charles XII, 1697-1718, riksdaler of 1707, Stockholm mint. Rare, rim bumps, very fine.)"
In the pre-reform Swedish coinage, 8 öre = one mark and 48 öre = one riksdaler. This one year type is rare.
