This specimen was lot 30962 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,116.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Johan III 2 Penningar ND (1576), AU53 NGC. An incredibly sharp example of this rare little type with bold features on both sides and appealing brown surfaces. Although this issue is not dated, the reverse legend REG SVEC confirms it as 1576. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman / B.G. Johnson." One mark was eight öre. One öre could vary between 24 and 48 penningar.
