This specimen was lot 999 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "STOLBERG-WERNIGERODE: Heinrich Ernst I, 1638-1672, AR 8 gute groschen (1/3 thaler), 1672, initials IB, two-year type, PCGS graded AU55, ex Almer H. Orr III Collection." This county was the result of a partition of Stolberg in 1645. The family survived into the Wilhelmine empire but lost its sovereignty to mediatization in 1807. This type was struck 1671-72.
