This specimen was lot 997 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "STOLBERG-STOLBERG: Johann Martin, 1638-1669, AR thaler, 1647, a few extremely light hairlines in the obverse field, AU, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This thaler was issued twelve times during 1645-63 yet remains scarce.
