This specimen was lot 3553 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$66 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, 5 Batzen 1817, St. Gallen. Jahreszahl auf Wappenseite. Schräg geriffelter Rand. Fast sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, five batzen of 1817, St. Gall mint, date on the arms side, obliquely reeded edge. About very fine.)"
This type was struck 1813, 1814 and 1817. Forty batzen made a thaler. Another five batzen of 1817 (KM 114) had the date on the value side.
