"SWITZERLAND | St. Gallen | Stadt und Kanton. 6 Kreuzer 1734, St. Gallen. Rv. mit Stempelriss zwischen 1 und 3 h. Seltener Jahrgang. Fast sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, six kreuzer of 1734, St. Gall mint. Die crack on reverse, rare date, About very fine.)"
Four kreuzer made a batzen and forty batzen made a thaler. Sixty kreuzer made a gulden. In the seventeenth century, the gulden was two-thirds of a thaler but with the introduction of the convention thaler in the 1740's, the gulden slipped to half a thaler. This type was struck 1725-34 and 1739. The 1734 is the only rare date.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
