Sincona sale 95, lot 4507

This specimen was lot 4507 in Sincona sale 95 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 900 CHF (about US$1,248 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Stadt und Kanton, 15 Kreuzer 1724, St. Gallen. Mzz. Bäumchen. Sehr selten. Sehr schön. Schrötlingsfehler. Exemplar der Slg. Kunzmann, Auktion SINCONA 44, Zürich, Oktober 2017, Los 5819. (Switzerland, city and canton of St. Gall, fifteen kreuzer of 1724, St. Gall mint. Very rare, Very Fine, Flan flaw.)"

This type was struck 1724-25, 1730-34, 1737-39 and was worth one quarter gulden. The 1724 is a rare date.
