This specimen was lot 3927 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $102. The catalog description^[1] noted, "SRI LANKA: Democratic Socialist Republic, AR 1000 rupees, 2000, 50th Anniversary of the Central Bank, mintage of only 10,000 pieces, Choice Proof, S." This NCLT was struck at the Royal Mint in Llantrisant.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 proofs.
