This specimen was lot 76312 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. Peseta, "1947" (1953). Madrid Mint. PCGS MS-63." This specimen was offered again as lot 75741 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it still did not sell. This type was struck 1948-67 in large numbers and most dates are common in circulated condition. This date is scarce in choice condition. Altho the date below the bust is 1947, the actual date is in the stars on the reverse; Spain was the only country to do this.
