This specimen was lot 75740 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. Peseta, "1947" (1950). Madrid Mint. PCGS MS-64." This type was struck 1948-67 in large numbers and most dates are common. This date is scarce but not rare. Altho the date below the bust is 1947, the actual date is in the stars on the reverse. This example realized one-third of the catalog value.
Recorded mintage: 4,000,000 (5,000,000 per Cayón).
Specifications: 3.5 g, aluminum bronze, 21 mm diameter, reeded edge.
