The first specimen was lot 25595 in Heritage sale 3019 (Chicago, April 2012), where it sold for $1,380. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ferdinand VII 20 Reales 1823 Barcelona-SP, MS62 NGC. Fully lustrous with light gray toning and no flaws worthy of mention, Very scarce in this condition." This type was struck 1822-23 in Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. Barcelona is the scarcest of the three mints.
