This specimen was lot 1210 in Aureo y Calicó sale 447 (Barcelona, March 2025), where it sold for 600 € (about US$784 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "1739. Felipe V. Madrid. JF. 1 escudo. Scarce. MBC+ [choice very fine]." This is a better date of a rather scarce type struck 1729-30 and 1733-42. Assayer JF is reported for 1733-42.
