This specimen was lot 1388 in Aureo y Calicó sale 423 (Barcelona, December 2023), where it sold for 1,600 € (about US$2,072 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "1630. Felipe IV. Segovia. A. 8 maravedis. Minted by the Real Ingenio. Unadopted design. Flan slightly irregular, but attractive. It retains the original silvering. Second example known, the other one was auctioned by Aureo y Calicó in selection 2022. EBC- [about extremely fine]." This pattern is not listed in the SCWC or Cayón.
