This eight maravedis was struck 1621-26 at eight mints (Burgos, Cuenca, Granada, Madrid, Segovia, Seville, Toledo and Valladolid) for Philip IV of Spain. Altho made in large quantities by a bankrupt government, the crude strike and later counterstamping mean the few survive in collectible condition. The Segovia issue was milled.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 6.57 g, copper.
