Solothurn 1766 10 batzen
This specimen was lot 4448 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$1,161 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Solothurn, Stadt und Kanton, 10 Batzen 1766, Solothurn. Variante mit rückseitigem S aus Blümchen. Ohne Münzzeichen. Laubrand. Fast vorzüglich. Feine Patina. (Switzerland, canton of Solothurn, ten batzen of 1766, Solothurn mint. Variety with a floral "S" on the reverse and no mintmark. Floriate edge, About Extremely Fine, Nicely toned.)"
Ten batzen made one quarter thaler. This type was struck 1763 and 1766.
