Sincona sale 98, lot 4446

This specimen was lot 4446 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 575 CHF (about US$834 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Solothurn, Stadt und Kanton, 10 Batzen 1761, Solothurn. Laubrand. Prachtvolle Erhaltung mit herrlicher Patina. Fast FDC. Minimale Kratzer. Exemplar der Auktion Lugdunum 22, Solothurn, Dezember 2022, Los 738. (Switzerland, canton of Solothurn, ten batzen of 1761, Solothurn mint. Foliate edge, Beautiful condition with magnificent patina, About Mint State, Tiny scratches.)"

Ten batzen made one quarter thaler. This type was struck 1761 only.
