This specimen was lot 35017 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $1,230. The catalog description[1] noted, "Singapore: Republic gold "Dragon" 10 Dollars 1984 MS67 NGC. A bright and satiny piece with prooflike fields." This type was struck 1983-84 as a one ounce bullion coin. It must not have met expectations, as its production was swiftly terminated. Singapore has had more success manufacturing and selling Chinese zodiac themed NCLT's.
