Sincona sale 34, lot 4261

This specimen was lot 4261 in Sincona sale 34 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 600 CHF (about US$712 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Leopold I. 1657-1705 Taler 1686. Breslau Wardein Salomon Hammerschmidt. Selten. Schön-sehr schön. Kratzer auf Av. Alte Kabinettpatina. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, thaler of 1686, Breslau mint, warden Salomon Hammerschmidt. Rare, Fine-very fine, scratches on obverse, old cabinet toning.)"

This Breslau mint issue is noted for 1685-88. All dates are rare.
