This specimen was lot 53628 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Holy Roman Empire. 3 Kreuzer, 1673-FIK. Oppeln Mint. Leopold I. NGC MS-62. From the Augustana Collection." This type was struck 1672-75 at the Oppeln mint. The other Silesian mints, Brieg, Breslau and Teschen, did not strike three kreuzer in 1673. This denomination was 1/30 thaler until the introduction of the convention thaler, when it slipped to 1/40 thaler. Besides the emperor, some of the local dukes struck three kreuzer until the 1670's, when the local dynasties died out.
